Safe School Helpline
The Safe School Helpline is an anonymous 24/7 tip line provided by Security Voice, Inc. It utilizes a unique, automated telephone or online service which allows individuals to report an allegation or concern confidentially and anonymously.
The Safe School helpline can be accessed by calling 1-800-4-1-VOICE ext. 359 (1-800-418-6423 ext. 359). A series of user-friendly prompts allows the caller to make an initial report, follow-up on a previous call, or access a trained mental health/suicide counselor. The caller's identity is protected. He or she is never asked to give a name. The voice message is transcribed and emailed to: Fran Bissellle, as Head of School; to Valerie Hughes, as Associate Head for Finance and Administration; and to Sheri Homany, as Associate Head of School. In this way, no one except an operator in Columbus hears the caller's voice. For those who prefer reporting via the Internet, reports can be made by logging onto www.safeschoolhelpline.com.
Each call is assigned a case number. The caller can then call back to the Helpline to check the school's progress on the call, or to provide more information. A caller may make a report 24/7 and the school is notified the next school day, or immediately, in the event of an emergency situation.
