Master of Education, Cleveland State University 2012
Sharon Baker came to HB in 2005 after teaching high school English for five years in a Cleveland Public high school. She is originally from the Chicago area and is still an avid Chicago sports fan, especially
Cubs baseball. As a seventh grade English teacher and advisor, she enjoys reading young adult literature, researching pop culture, and laughing every day with her students. In her role as director of the
WEST Fellowship program, she advises students and mentors as they develop and present independent study projects. She co-teaches
photography and digital storytelling and is always amazed at the creative stories young adults can imagine. She enjoys yoga, photography, and travel. As a frequent chaperone for student trips abroad, she particularly loves watching students expand their worlds.Sharon, her husband Joseph Baker, and their twins sons are proud to call Cleveland their home, but they do remain fierce Cubs fans.
