HB teacher Person of the Week
Upper School Science teacher Mary Kay Patton was named Person of the Week in the Sun Herald on Thursday, April 9, 2009. The regional newspaper serves Cleveland's west side suburbs.

A resident of North Olmsted, Patton was recognized for her selection as a volunteer with an organization called Invisible Children. This summer, she will travel to Gulu, a northern section of Uganda, to teach children who had been kidnapped and forced to become soldiers.

While in Uganda, she plans to visit the Children and Life Mission orphanage, a partner with North Olmsted's St. Brendan Catholic Church. Many of the children who are residents there were orphaned because of the AIDS epidemic.

Congratulations, Mary Kay!
