COVID Protocols

Hathaway Brown’s COVID-19 protocols represent the institution's careful efforts to safeguard the health and well-being of all members of the school community. Our protocols are guided by three priorities:

  • To carry out HB's mission and purpose: educating and empowering students
  • To keep students and employees as safe as possible
  • To maintain normal operations as best we can

COVID protocols are subject to change based on future conditions and/or recommendations by public health officials.

Check for symptoms

All families should conduct a symptom check before their student arrives to campus. Individuals exhibiting symptoms consistent with COVID-19 must remain home until they receive a negative COVID test administered at a testing site or by a teledoc or their pediatrician confirms, in writing, that COVID is not a concern.

All student, faculty, and staff positive cases are reported to the Ohio Department of Health. ODH produces a report of new and cumulative COVID-19 cases in schools.
