UPPER SCHOOL WINTER SPORTS

Basketball - The varsity basketball team is off to a great start with a strong presence of upper class leadership. The team is currently 3-2 with wins over Bishop Watterson, Glen Este, and Hoban. They also had an opportunity to travel to Fairfax, VA for a national exposure tournament, sponsored by USA Today, where there were teams that are ranked in the top 10 in the country. The JV basketball team is working hard each day to improve and blend as a team. With 9 eager freshman, the outlook for the season is extremely positive. The coaching staff is excited to watch the JV team blend and grow as an in sync unit. 

Next Game: Saturday, December 10 @ Magnificat High School - JV at 1:00 p.m. & Varsity at 2:30 p.m.

Swimming & Diving- The varsity swimming and diving team has been practicing hard for about a month and have already experienced some success. They had a strong showing at their first invitational of the season at University School and most recently defeated Gilmour Academy 104-65.

Next Meet: Diving - Friday, December 16 @ Cleveland State University (Viking Invitational), Swimming - Saturday, December 17 @ Cleveland State University (Viking Invitational)

  • The Hathaway Brown Figure Skating Club will participate in the Ohio High School Team Figure Skating Competition on Saturday, February 11, 2017 and Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Thornton Park Ice Rink in Shaker Heights.

  • Upper School Winter Sports Awards - March 15, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. 
MIDDLE SCHOOL 
The basketball team is off to a great start under first year head coach Lexi Hassing. The team is excited about the addition of a large number of seventh graders to the squad this season. Their first game is Wednesday, December 14 at 4:15 p.m./5:15 p.m. @ HB against Laurel. 

With a 4-1-1 record, it is safe to say that the swim team has had a successful start to their season. They have wins over Old Trail, Laurel, Bedford and Euclid. The swim team heads to the Lakewood tomorrow, December 9, for the 7th & 8th Grade Invitational.
