What Dan did last week: Won the Southwestern Conference championship for the second year in a row, crossing the finish at Lorain County Community College in 16:33. He was the SWC runner-up in 2010.

About Dan: Placed 19th at last year's state meet, and was 10th at the state track meet in the 1,600. Plans to run in college and study exercise science with the hope of becoming a personal trainer. Member of marching band and ping pong club. Enjoys golf and basketball. Favorite athletes are Joe Haden and Trent Richardson.

Corinne Kule
Chardon

What Corinne did last week: Won the Premier Athletic Conference meet for the fourth straight year. Crossed the line in 19:34 and won by 26 seconds at the Perry Outdoor YMCA.

About Corinne: Member of National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Plays classical guitar and flute. Enjoys hiking, biking and going on summer mission trips. Plans to run in college and study speech pathology. Favorites include "The Sound of Music" movie, "30 Rock" TV show and chemistry class.

Elizabeth Warner

What Elizabeth did last week: Forward/midfielder scored a goal and had an assist in a 5-1 victory over Western Reserve Academy, which clinched the Northeast Ohio Field Hockey League championship.

About Elizabeth: Harvard field hockey recruit also is a member of HB's swimming and lacrosse teams. Favorites include "Grey's Anatomy" TV show, "Miracle" movie and the song, "The Show Goes On." Likes math, science and economics classes and best vacation was a trip to Florida.

Daniel Brown

What Daniel did last week: Running back/linebacker helped Falcons snap a 17-game losing streak in a 22-12 victory over Vienna Mathews. Rushed for 301 yards and one touchdown on 25 carries. Had seven solo tackles, three assists and an interception in the fourth quarter.

About Daniel: Plans to run indoor and outdoor track. Prays before each game. Favorites include the Dallas Cowboys, "Jersey Shore" TV show, "Madden 13" video game, "No Worries" song, "Of Mice and Men" book and Red Lobster restaurant.

What Mike did last week: Running back/defensive back carried the ball 50 times for 307 yards and four touchdowns in a 28-14 win against Amherst. Caused a fumble, broke up a pass and had five tackles.

About Mike: Also a member of the track team. Enjoys snowboarding, biking and kayaking. Wants to major in sports science. Favorites include "I Am Legend" movie, "30 for 30" TV show and "NCAA 13" video game. Will always remember playing defense with his brother, Matt, last season.

What Alex did last week: Forward scored the first goal and assisted on the second in a 2-0 win against Rocky River to clinch the West Shore Conference title. Named conference MVP as Rockets went 14-1-1, 7-0.

About Alex: Member of Project Earth, track team, choir and theatre. Plans to major in physical therapy or exercise science. Favorites include Portugal soccer, "Water for Elephants" movie, "Pretty Little Liars" TV show, "The Hunger Games" book, Brio restaurant, Forever 21 clothes and math class.

Bri Waite
Willoughby South

What Bri did last week: Setter tallied 97 assists in wins over Geneva and Eastlake North, including a single-game school record 57, to help Rebels clinch their first Premier Athletic Conference title, the program's first league title since 1994.

About Bri: Favorites include the Browns, "90210" TV show, "The Notebook" movie, "Drops of Jupiter" song, "Tuesdays With Mom" book, macaroni and cheese, Chipotle restaurant and math class. Dream vacation is a trip to California. Would like to try sky diving.
