Hathaway Brown juniors Ashley Yarbrough and Lysette Roman have been named All-Sun fall athletes for 2011 - Yarbrough for golf and Roman for soccer. The announcement was made by Sun News on December 1, when the area's top student-athletes in boys and girls soccer, golf, cross country, volleyball, and tennis were highlighted with special sports coverage.

Regional All-Sun East team honors were given to HB volleyball player Cece Barrett '14, and to soccer player Kate Dolansky '12. Yarbrough and Roman received this designation as well.

Additionally, the tennis doubles team of Maya Ahuja '13 and Pauline Marting '12, was highlighted in a special editorial celebrating all area student athletes who represented the region well in state competition this year. Ahuja and Marting qualified for the OHSAA Division II tournament.

All-Sun and All-Sun East teams were selected by the sports reporters and editors at the Sun News publications. The organization is home to 11 weekly newspapers serving 47 Greater Cleveland communities in Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina, and Geauga counties.
