Don’t let their dizzying accomplishments confuse you; Hathaway Brown girls long for outlets for their boundless energy, exciting ideas, and community spirit.

Each of these exuberant young women has her own interests. That’s why across divisions, HB offers a wealth of opportunities for each student to find her own special niche. The school’s club scene has something for everyone. 

BCA is a Middle and Upper School affinity group for African American/Black, Biracial, and students of the African Diaspora. Members meet to discuss topics relevant to their identity and look for ways to grow personally and to connect with the wider HB community.

Middle School girls who identify as Jewish join the affinity group to dive deeper into the intersection of their identity as it presents in the media, across various ethnic groups, and in HB culture.

Middle School girls who identify as Muslim are invited to join MSA to dive deeper into the intersection of their identity as it presents in the media, across various ethnic groups, and in HB culture.

Open to all interested Middle School students for age-appropriate conversations to better understand topics of gender and inclusivity.

SWAG is a Middle and Upper School student group for girls passionate about issues of equality, equity, and social justice. Upper School girls in this group are trained to effectively facilitate conversations and activities focusing on issues of diversity, equity, and justice.

This Middle School affinity group is open to students who have ethnic heritage from countries in Southeast Asia, such as India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Singapore, and the Philippines, to name a few. The group discusses ethnicity, academic expectation, and identity as an HB student.

Spectrum is a community for the LGBTQ+ students and allies at HB. Students meet to discuss and better understand topics of gender and inclusivity in an age-appropriate way.
