For ages 16 and older
Training for instructor candidates to organize and conduct American Red Cross courses in water safety including Learn to Swim, Parent and Child Aquatics, Basic Water Rescue, and Water Safety Presentations.
Participant must be able to perform the Front Crawl, Back Crawl, Elementary Backstroke, Breaststroke, Sidestroke and Butterfly at Level Four standards. Participants must also be able to float on their back and tread water for one minute.
A portion of this class is online. Participants must score an 80 percent on the exam and successfully complete skill work to obtain the certification. Participation in the course does not guarantee certification.
