Alumnae News & Highlights
Louise Blyth Timken 1927 established this chair in 1983 because she believed every Hathaway Brown student should have a solid foundation in Mathematics. A pioneer in the field of women's aviation, Louise was active in the Civil Air Patrol during World War II and she was one of the first women ever to pilot a jet. Upper School Mathematics and Computer Science Teacher Michael Buescher is the 2019 - 2024 Louise Blyth Timken 1927 Chair for Mathematics recipient.
