Flexible Tuition

Flexible tuition allows each family to invest in their daughter's education with tuition that best fits their finances.

While every family is expected to contribute to the cost of tuition and fees, and to support the community to the extent individual family circumstances allow, Hathaway Brown School does not expect all families to pay tuition at the same level. Therefore, the flexible tuition program is an option for kindergarten through grade 12 families.

The availability of flexible tuition may vary based on grade level, space in a grade, number of applicants, and budgeted funds.

Understanding a Family's Finances

The flexible tuition application must be completed via Clarity by the admission application deadline. The application asks for information such as:

  • family size
  • total income
  • savings
  • investments
  • other assets such as home equity
  • indebtedness
  • medical and dental expenses
  • and any unusual expenses

Families are also required to submit copies of their recent tax forms to Clarity. These forms, W2, and Federal 1040 forms, are used to verify information on the application. If the application is submitted by the admission deadline, the documents will be pulled automatically from the IRS. After the deadline you may be prompted to upload the required forms directly to Clarity.

Flexible tuition will be shared at the time of acceptance in the online enrollment contract.
