Fellowships in Science Research & Engineering

Science Research & Engineering

In the Science Research and Engineering Fellowship, students work in research labs with professional scientists and engineers.

Upper School students are matched with supervising professionals to conduct a graduate-level research project. They spend once a week after school and many weeks in the summer conducting research. In class, they develop as a professional and submit their research for prestigious science competitions.

How to Join

Register for Intro to SREP, a class without textbooks, tests or homework. The first year of class is dedicated to identifying a specific scientific discipline to do research.

In consultation with other teachers and partner scientists, the Fellowship Director works with girls to find a placement aligned with her interests and abilities.

This seminar class can be added or dropped at any point, without any penalty. However, once a student is assigned to a lab, the expectation is a commitment for the duration of high school.
