Three Students Receive First Place in the 2022 NACD Conservation Poster Contest

Jinan Berard '26, Anna Fujiki '29, and Mallory MacRaild '26 earned first place in their respective categories in the National Association of Conservation District (NACD), Conservation Poster Contest. Each year participants create posters that reflect the selected theme. This year's theme was: “Healthy Soils: Healthy Life”

Jinan and Anna received first place at the county level while Mallory advanced to the national level after her digital submission earned first in the state of Ohio. At the national level first, second, and third place winners receive a monetary prize.

The annual contest sponsored by Cuyahoga Soil & Water District invites students of Cuyahoga County grades K-12 to participate. Submissions for the contest were organized by the Middle School's Green Team, a club associated with the Fellowship in Sustainability.

The annual NACD and NACD Auxiliary Poster Contest provides students from kindergarten through 12th grade the chance to have their art displayed as part of a national conservation outreach initiative. Each year, the winning posters reflect NACD’s annual Stewardship theme and highlight the work of conservation districts and their state conservation associations, auxiliaries and agencies to protect and enhance natural resources.
