Hathaway Brown Students Recognized in Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition

Four talented Hathaway Brown students have earned outstanding recognition in the 2025 Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition! Bailey Boland ‘25, Juliet Gardner ‘26, Marchesa Weber ‘26, and Auberon Fischer ‘26 have all advanced past the first round of adjudication—an extraordinary accomplishment in this highly competitive program.
Special congratulations to Juliet Gardner ’26, whose piece Surf Girl has earned the highest distinction, ranking among the top 259 artworks in the state. Her work will be exhibited in Columbus, an exceptional honor that highlights her artistic talent and dedication.
Additionally, Marchesa Weber ’26 has been recognized for her piece Childhood, which has been selected for the Cameo Exhibit at the Ohio State Capitol. This prestigious opportunity places her work in a prominent setting, showcasing her creative excellence.
The Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition, presented in collaboration with the Ohio Governor’s Office, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, and the Ohio Arts Council, provides students with scholarship opportunities to further their artistic education. This statewide program recognizes and nurtures young artists, offering them invaluable opportunities for growth and exposure.
The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the Verne Riffe Center for Government and the Arts in Columbus.
