Four Teams are Semifinalists in the ThinkBIG! Business Challenge

Four teams from the Upper School Fellowships in Business and Finance competed and advanced to the semi-final round of the ThinkBIG! Business Challenge sponsored by The Veale Foundation. As semifinalists, the teams are invited to attend an executive coaching day and receive guidance from entrepreneurial professionals in the Cleveland business community. The final four teams will compete live at the thinkBIG! Summit in March and have a chance to win $8,000 in prizes.

Here are the Hathaway Brown teams and their pitches: 

Ishita Kopparpu '24

stEMPOWERher is a free STEM workshop for middle school girls that models the concept of a professional poster session. The overall goal is to expose young girls to STEM in a meaningful and experiential way.

Lily Mehok ’24 & Claire Mehok '24

TechTeahcer is a non-profit where teenagers, who know technology best, teach senior citizens to better navigate the internet and use modern technology (create contacts, online shop, search, text, email, etc.), through a series of classes at different centers located in Northeast Ohio.

Demetriyana Hughes '23

Replenishing Hair Serum is created to nourish, repair, and restore damaged follicles in addition to promoting hair growth. Each individual oil contributes to the overall benefit that the user will begin to see.

Sydney Steffee '24, Campbell Kahn '24, Sidonie Labenne '24 and Frances Berglund '24

Blazer Driving Company is a Network of students drivers. The target audience is HB parents who need rides for their students. Student drivers are ranked based on years of driving, tickets, and seats available. Drivers must be Upperclassmen who have had their license for no less than 8 months. Parents must sign a liability notice.
