Elena Flauto ’21 to Compete in Solo-Singing Competition
Senior Elena Flauto is a top 10 finalist in the annual Shining Star CLE solo singing competition. Shining Star CLE gives Northeast Ohio high school students the chance to compete for college scholarships. The 2020 competition will be held virtually, on Sunday, September 13, 2020. Elena will sing "Georgia on my Mind," made famous by Ray Charles.
Shining Star CLE is judged by six independent, accomplished, music professionals who are qualified in a wide variety of musical genres including, but not limited to, pop, R&B, classical, jazz, and musical theater.
Elena was also a top 10 finalist in the 2019 competition. She sang "Feeling Good" by Nina Simone and placed second, winning a $2500 scholarship.
