SUMMARY

Hathaway Brown is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate and dedicated educator to teach Kindergarten. This role has an expected duration of 12 weeks starting March 31, 2024. The Long-Term Substitute Kindergarten Teacher will provide instruction and support for a vibrant group of young learners. This role involves implementing engaging lessons aligned with our curriculum, fostering a positive classroom environment, and ensuring a smooth continuation of learning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons..
  • Support the social and emotional development of students through classroom routines and interactions.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to meet individual student needs.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to students and families.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience teaching kindergarten or working with young children is preferred.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to creating a nurturing learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
