Part time hours available: 6:00a - 4:30p; different shift hours available

Summary:

Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring patron safety while the pool is in operation. He/ she will help enforce safe swimming practices and assist in preventing injury.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to swim 500 yards. 

  • Ability to make responsible decisions and act quickly in emergency situations. 

  • Recognize and respond effectively to emergency situations. 

  • Enforce all aquatics policies, rules and regulations. 

  • Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately. 

  • Complete records and reports. 

  • Attend monthly in-service training. 

  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Must Possess a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.

  • High-level of familiarity and competence across cultures and multiple perspectives

  • Superb communication skills

  • A growth mindset, energy and initiative
