Summary:

 

Creative, Engaging, Dedicated, Passionate, Caring, Innovative, and Motivated Teachers Needed! The Infant & Toddler Center is seeking passionate individuals on a part-time and full-time basis to assist with the care and guidance of children. We are looking for a teacher who is experienced in developing and implementing curriculum, working as a collaborative member of a team, and documenting progress using appropriate developmental guidelines. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a priority. You will be responsible for working with a team and assigned responsibility to our children being cared for during the part-time hours. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide care for children ages 6 weeks to 2 years old. 

  • Create lesson plans for our early learners. 

  • Report daily activities of children to parents and directors. 

  • Work in a team setting to care for the group of children assigned to you. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. 

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.

  • Ability to speak effectively before parents and/or co-workers.

  • Strong reasoning skills.

Physical Demands: 

  • Required to stand, walk, sit, knell, stoop, talk and hear. 

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.

  • Required to climb or balance occasionally.

  • Frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally life and or move up to 50 pounds

Education and/or Experience:

 

A minimum of an Associate’s degree (preferably in Early Childhood); preferred Bachelor's degree,  from four-year College or university; and/or a minimum of two years’ experience working with infants and toddlers.

Knowledge of Conscious Discipline is a plus.
