Young Writers & Artists Festival

The 13th annual Young Writers and Artists Festival, presented by the Fellowship in Creative Arts and the Osborne Writing Fellowship, will take place on Friday, November 8th. This immersive, all-day event offers HB students the chance to work with professional, award-winning writers and artists in a hands-on workshop setting. This year’s writers include New York Times bestselling authors, a Peabody Award winner, an Eisner Award winner, and the 2021 Ohio Poet of the Year. The artists feature award recipients in Individual Excellence from the Ohio Arts Council, including one who runs her own one-woman business.

Workshops will be offered in poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, podcasting, graphic novels, songwriting, ceramics, photography, painting, screen printing, printmaking, and papermaking! No experience is necessary, so students can pursue a passion or try something new. Workshops are limited in size to ensure close interaction with workshop leaders.

The festival is one of the highlights of the year, and workshops fill up quickly—be sure to register early!
