Join Hathaway Brown's Celebrated Community for Carnival on Sunday, April 19, 2026!

Join us in the Rosenthal Family Atrium from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for a morning of family fun!

Carnival weekend is filled with activities for all ages! Whether you're lacing up for the 5K or just coming for the fun, enjoy a bouncy obstacle course, games, crafts, raffle, and delicious food. Race awards will be announced at 10:45 a.m., and raffle winners will be drawn at 11:45 a.m—no need to be present to win.

Race starts at 9:00 a.m., followed by a bagel breakfast and family-friendly fun.
Professional chip timing and live results for all participants.
Gift cards awarded to the top four finishers.

All donations benefit Seeds of Literacy, a Cleveland non-profit organization that provides FREE basic education and GED® and HiSET® preparation to adults in the Cleveland area. Students, volunteers, and donors all work to break a root cause of poverty: illiteracy.

HB's Beloved Tradition and Senior Class Gift to the Community Since 1929

Carnival is the HB’s largest and longest-running annual student fundraiser. In 1929, Latin Teacher and Associate Principal Grace Waymouth proposed a carnival to replace the Christmas bazaar fundraiser, and it has continued ever since.

Carnival is also the senior class’ charitable gift to HB's celebrated community. Each year, the senior class picks a civic engagement partner to collaborate with and donate the funds raised from Carnival.
