The Summer Maker Camp will allow mini-makers to explore, design, build and share their inventions and creations in the newly renovated IDEA Lab at Hathaway Brown School! In the IDEA Lab (which stands for innovation, design, engineering & art), students will be introduced to the newest digital fabrication equipment, such as 3D printers, laser engravers/cutters, desktop milling machines, vinyl cutters and CNC routers. Campers will create digital designs and build projects using various tools and equipment in the space while exploring the basics of design engineering and hands-on learning. Mini-makers will design and create electronics projects using littleBits, MaKey MaKey & LilyPad and basic computer programming skills. Culminating in a Mini-Maker Faire on the last day of the camp, parents and friends can help celebrate our mini-makers as they share their projects!
