If these spaces are occupied, you may park in any available parking space on the circle or on the adjacent streets. Once inside, you should proceed to the Admission Office by turning right when you enter the main entrance and then making an immediate left. You will be greeted by a member of the admission staff and begin your visit.
Students are invited to visit the Upper School and shadow a current HB student for the day. Prospective students should be dropped off in the Admission Office at 8:45am and will attend classes from 2nd -6th period with a current Upper School student. Students in 8th grade who are interested in visiting the Upper School will be paired with a current 9th grade student. Since the Upper School is a different environment from our Middle School, we think it is important for prospective students to see and feel the high school experience. Students will spend the day in classes to see first-hand how classes are taught, the variety of courses, and the sisterhood of our students. Students will be our guest at lunch in our acclaimed dining hall and do not need to bring any money. They will have an opportunity to meet with the Admission Director and have any questions answered. By the end of the day, they will have had "a day in the life of an HB student". Students conclude their visit in the Admission Office and depart from campus at 2:30pm.
Students do not need to bring anything with them on the day of their visit. They do not need to have any books or lunch money; everything will be provided for them. Students should follow the Upper School dress code which is essentially no blue jeans. Most students in the Upper School dress comfortably in skirts or pants and blouse or sweater.
Parents are invited to visit campus on the same day as their daughter or another day that is convenient. Parent visits begin and conclude in the Admission Office. Parent meetings consist of meeting with the Admission Director and touring the campus. You will have the opportunity to learn about the HB curriculum, extra-curricular options, the admission and financial aid processes, as well tour our facilities. Parent meetings typically last 45-60 minutes. If you have time constraints or have specific curricular or program interests, please notify the Admission Director in order to tailor your experience.
We are looking forward to your visit. Please contact us if you have any questions about your visit to HB.
