After School Activities & Clubs
The After School Club, for students in Early Childhood through sixth grade, meets after school until 6:00 PM each day in the Center for Primary Learning. The club combines structured activities and supervised free play.
The staff of experienced professionals recognizes the varying needs of children. They plan active and quiet play, indoor and outdoor activities and group and individual projects. The structured activities change daily and include art experiences, cooking, creative dramatics, computers and special events.
Some projects are designed for specific age groups, while others encourage interaction among children of different ages. Children also enjoy a nutritious snack.
The After School Club offers a nurturing environment, much like a second home. Children develop a positive self-image and close friendships with their peers. After School Club teachers are consistent throughout the year, providing the children with a warm and trusted adult presence.
Homework Club is a proctored study hall that is available to all Middle School students Monday through Thursday from 3:30 to 4:45 PM. Teachers staff these rooms to answer questions and provide additional support. On Fridays and after Homework Club each day, supervision is provided until 6:00 PM. The fee, which includes a substantial snack, is $16/day.
