A new and growing entity at HB, The Center for Girls' and Women’s Leadership was created to explore ideas at the forefront of women’s leadership.

The center encourages girls in each division to consider the complexities of leadership work from a variety of perspectives so they can better navigate the numerous forces at play in any leadership challenge.

Focused on what's required to equip women in the 21st century, the center aims to guide young women to become leaders of their own lives—individuals who take steps to understand, engage, collaborate, and reflect as they make decisions.

Koyen Parikh Shah, Director

Koyen Parikh Shah is the Director of the Center for Girls’ and Women’s Leadership. Before starting this role, she spent a decade as founding director of The Aspire Program and several years as a middle school teacher. Often puzzled by the decisions of individuals in public leadership positions, she finds herself most inspired by the quiet leadership choices people make in their day to day lives.  She feels fortunate to know a number of individuals who lead carefully—solution-finders who really do make the world a better place.
