Alumnae from around the world will gather together to celebrate the friendships and traditions inspired by their alma mater and to see how HB is educating young women today. Alumnae Weekend activities are for ALL alumnae, regardless of graduation year. Classes ending in 0 and 5 will celebrate milestone reunions in 2015.

Meet fellow alumna Dori Jones Yang ’72 author of “Warm Cup of Wisdom: Inspirational Insights on Relationships and Life,” who asked nine women to sit down and answer challenging questions. Among them: How do you get through tough times? Is happiness really a choice? What is the best way to manage anger? The women responded with humility, honesty, and humor. Dori will bring her 20 questions, ready to spark an intriguing discussion with Hathaway Brown’s wise women of all ages.

Be Well, Lead Well – Wellness Briefing and Power Walk

Meet at the Gymnasium
Take a brisk walk around campus with HB’s Physical Education faculty and learn more about the school’s physical education and wellness curriculum.
Shakespeare Seminar with Bill Christ
10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Experience the elective course that has been a favorite of many HB seniors over the years! Bill Christ will lead alumnae in a discussion about the artistic and intellectual world of Shakespeare and his major plays and poetry. The class will also explore the author's timeless and profound impact on modern culture. Noted critic Harold Bloom famously said that “Shakespeare invented the human.” This session will strive to explain what that means.
Alumnae Awards Presentation and Class Giving Results

Join us to celebrate your HB sisters as Head of School Bill Christ presents Distinguished Alumnae Awards to Elizabeth Stewart Fox ’60 and Jean Mackenzie ’65 and the Alumnae Achievement Award to Danielle Bradshaw Lane ’90. Alumnae Association President M. Lily Datta ’90 will announce the winners of the Alumnae Past Presidents’ Bowl and the Jane Geckler Seelbach Driver 1939 Champagne Cup.
Alumnae Family and Friends Lunch

$10 per adult, $5 per child
Come solo, with classmates, or with your family to enjoy lunch in HB’s state of the art servery and dining hall, featuring a selection of favorite dishes, both new and old. Walk through the line for old time’s sake, and then eat inside or, weather-permitting, venture out onto the patio. Milestone reunion class pictures will be taken in the atrium during lunch.

Bring your family for a swim in the HB pool (lifeguards will be present) or fun on the recently built, kid-approved playground.
Afternoon Fun - Trolley Tour of Cleveland
2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Space is limited. $10 per person
Explore Cleveland’s neighborhoods and see some of the exciting changes and revitalization plans in progress. The trolley boards at 1:45 and leaves promptly at 2:00 (from Hathaway Brown's front circle).
