Common Threads–Parent Discussion Group 

Each month, parents of all backgrounds are invited to meet together and with the Director of Multicultural Affairs. The group's goals are:

· To provide a formal networking opportunity for parents committed to creating and sustaining a multicultural learning community at HB

· To create a forum to explore multiple perspectives and experiences designed to deepen the discussion and understanding of others

· To create a parent group grounded in an understanding and knowledge of diversity, multiculturalism and the need to affirm the identity of our constituents

· To explore, from a parent perspective, ways in which the HB community, culture and curricula affirm its constituents and ways in which we could improve or implement broader based programming.
