Hathaway Brown student-athletes Cameron Dorsey '10 and Keely Lavelle '10 have been designated as All-Stars by The Plain Dealer. Their accomplishments were profiled in the newspaper's sports section on November 13.
A standout tennis player who won the doubles state championship in 2007, Dorsey was recognized by the PD for her amazing high school career. She ended this season as the district champion with a 22-3 singles record. She now also has the honor of being one of seven students in the region who are part of the newspaper's Girls Tennis All-Star Team. Read more at cleveland.com.
Lavelle, a senior member of the Blazer Golf team, which was ranked fourth in Ohio this year, was named to The Plain Dealer Girls Golf All-Star Team. She is one of only five local students to be recognized in this way. Her individual 2009 record saw her tied for ninth in the state in Division II play. In the state tournament in October, her two-day total of 180 earned her second-team All-Ohio honors. Read more about Lavelle's All-Star Team selection here.
