LACROSSE

The Varsity and JV Lacrosse program has welcomed Head Coach Kevin Purpura and Assistant Coach Allie Emala, while coaching veterans Amy Longley & Lisa McKenna '75 return to JV.  The lacrosse teams are very young this year and are showing tremendous improvement each game.  They plan to use practices and games as time to get stronger for the post season. Varsity and JV are looking for their first win this weekend against Chagrin Falls.

SOFTBALL

The Varsity Softball team is a young team with eight freshmen and no seniors.  The girls are showing some true signs of improvement and are looking forward to a full slate of games coming up.  The team is still hungry for their first win and hopes to get it soon.

TRACK & FIELD

The Varsity Track & Field team has started the season strong.  Their first meet consisted of only relays at Western Reserve Academy where they had several top-five finishes and two third-place finishes.  At the Beachwood Invitational, the Blazers also had a strong showing where they placed 9th out of 19 teams, and had several top finishes for individuals and relay teams.  In their first dual meet against Chardon, the team fell a bit short but competed very well.

GENERAL

Please help Blazer Nation in welcoming new head coaches Greg Aten - Varsity "A" Tennis and Mike Coreno - Varsity Basketball.

All 2015 Fall Sports will begin on August 3, 2015.  Further details for each sport will be sent in the near future. 

Please remember to take a look at the Hathaway Brown Athletics Road Maps, a new educational and physical fitness resource for HB girls and their families who are interested in learning more about the 11 athletics disciplines available at the developmental, Middle School, JV, and Varsity levels.  These Athletics Road Maps were created as a way for us to share the knowledge and expertise of HB’s coaching staff and the members of our athletics and physical education departments. MIDDLE SCHOOL UPDATE

Middle School Spring Sports 

All spring sports have begun and are in full swing.  Lacrosse, Softball and Track are all doing well and showing a lot of improvement already.  The coaches and players are working hard to make it a successful spring season for the Blazers!

AQUATICS

Spring Swim Lessons, HBBH Swim Lessons, Springboard Diving Lessons, and American Red Cross Certification classes are available for registration at BlazerAquatics.com. Please contact Stacey Vayo-Aroney at saroney@hb.edu with any questions. 

CREW CLUB
