BASKETBALL The Varsity & JV Basketball teams began practice on Saturday, November 1st. The team has had several scrimmages as they get prepared for the season. Coaches for this season are Paul Barlow (Head Coach), Edith Spivey (Assistant Coach), Walt Cerrato (Assistant Coach), Vance Lineman (Assistant Coach) & Julie Lozon (Assistant Coach/Head JV Coach).
Mackenzie Berk '17 & Jordan ElHindi '16 have been named Varsity captains for the season.
First Game: Saturday, November 29th - Gary West Tip-Off Classic vs. Dayton Carroll - Varsity only - 1:45 p.m. @ Reynoldsburg HS SWIMMING & DIVING The Varsity Swimming & Diving team began practice on Friday, November 7th. The team has been practicing hard, sometimes twice daily, in preparation to begin the season. The team will have an Intersquad Meet on Tuesday, November 25th. Coaches for this season are Roderick Speed (Head Coach), Stacey Aroney (Assistant Coach), Jesse Lewis (Assistant Coach) & Lewis Fellinger (Head Diving Coach).
Emma Bryan '15 (Diving), Iman Eulinberg '15 & Catherine Mullen '15 have been selected Varsity captains for this season. FINAL FORMS
We are very excited that our Athletic Department has partnered with FinalForms, an online application that will enable parents and students to complete and file all of their mandatory Athletic & Medical forms electronically.
FinalForms is available for all Hathaway Brown Student-Athletes online at:
Once you go to this site, you will need to set up separate accounts and passwords for both parents and student-athletes. Please follow the instructions in the Parent Playbook (found here) to set up these accounts and register your student-athlete.
The ONLY form that you are still required to actually print, complete and return to Jody Duecker in the Athletic Department is the OHSAA Physical form pages 1-4. The OHSAA Physical form must be completed by a doctor, and by law we are required to have a signed copy on file before the student-athlete's first day of practice - no exceptions. Once your student-athlete's OHSAA Physical form is received by the Athletic Department, we will input the expiration date into FinalForms and then you will receive automatic notifications when your student-athlete's OHSAA Physical and forms need to be updated.
Registering your first child will take about 5-10 minutes. Registering additional children will take about 2-3 minutes each. Information is stored from season to season and from year to year, and also shared within families - eliminating the need to enter the same information more than once. Your only annual requirement will be logging in to verify the existing information for your child by re-signing each form.
We realize that you may have already filled out some of these forms earlier in the year, but we are asking you to fill them out again in this online format so that we may begin to convert everyone to this new system. If you have turned in your OHSAA Physical form for the season already, you DO NOT need to re-submit that form as we already have it on file.
Once you have completed the registration of your student-athlete, please download and print the Online Athletic Form Confirmation Page (found here) and return it to Julie Lozon in the Athletic office as soon as possible.

BLAZER SPIRIT CLUB
A special thank you to the Blazer Spirit Club for all of their help this fall with Senior Recognition days and team State Tournament send-offs. These are two of the events that the group will be helping with throughout the year, along with a few others.
The group, which has some great ideas and is gaining momentum, is headed up by Stacy Langenderfer along with Lisa Mortimer and Amy Paine. If you are interested in helping out, please contact one of them for more information. MIDDLE SCHOOL UPDATE The Middle School Swimming team defeated Orange in their first meet this season.
