The Blazers adjusted plenty during Saturday's 56-44 Division II championship victory over West Holmes at Ohio State's Value City Arena. It was their 36th straight postseason win and a unprecedented fifth consecutive crown.

Shaker Heights Hathaway Brown's Nia Marshall, who set a division championship game record with 18 rebounds to go with her 17 points, is the most outstanding player on the Associated Press Division II all-tournament team.

A team from Hathaway Brown School will join students from around the globe in New York City to  compete for a $10,000 grand prize during the 12th Annual Bickel & Brewer/New York University International Public Policy Forum Finals.

4.12.13: Couple Leaves $6.6 Million Gift to Benefit University School and Hathaway Brown

At Hathaway Brown, the $3.3 million bequest for endowment  is the third largest gift in school history.  Hathaway Brown Head of School Bill Christ and University School Headmaster Steve Murray both expressed enormous gratitude for this relatively unusual joint gift. “The histories and missions of Hathaway Brown and University School are very closely intertwined,” said HB’s Christ. “And we are so pleased that the Cannons decided to honor both schools with this substantial bequest."

5.7.13: YWCA of Greater Cleveland salutes 6 Women of Achievement who broke
barriers and shattered stereotypes

Clara Taplin Rankin was in her 70s when she created the nonprofit Hopewell, Ohio's only therapeutic farm community for adults with severe mental illness. Now in her 90s, she said she looks forward to the day when society looks beyond race and gender.

Now a senior at Hathaway Brown, Aly is an outstanding student who is described by teachers as hardworking and tenacious. And she has been named a 2013 United States Presidential Scholar, one of the most prestigious honors for American 12th graders.

Though she's a high-achieving student, Senior Standout Gurbani Kaur doesn't take all the credit. "It's a group effort," she said. "My teachers, my parents, my siblings support me. I'm surrounded by people who are really talented. I'm in good company."

6.5.13: Hathaway Brown names Jennifer Creech new golf coach

At the University of South Alabama, Creech was a first team All-Conference selection all four years, winning multiple Division I events. In 2012, she was elected to the University of South Alabama Athletic Hall of Fame.
