UPPER SCHOOL SPRING SPORTS Lacrosse - The varsity lacrosse team played a tough regular season schedule and is heading into the post season as strong as they have been all year. Over the course of the past few weeks the varsity team has started to gel together extremely well, took Hudson to overtime and recorded a big win over Magnificat. The team was seeded third in their region for the OHSAA Division II Lacrosse State Tournament. The junior varsity lacrosse team had an extremely successful season with a final record of 10-2. This year's JV team was filled with an abundance of young talent with a bright future. Congratulations to the JV lacrosse team and coaches on a tremendous season! Next Game: Thursday, May 18, 2017 - OHSAA Division II Regional Qualifying Round vs. Gilmour Academy @ HB at 5:00 p.m. Softball - Due to the amount of rain that we received this spring, the softball team did not get the opportunity to play many games under first year head coach, Joy Daniels. Rebuilding seasons can be challenging for both coaches and players, but the season record does not always reflect the amount of growth, resilience, team camaraderie and spirit a team develops. This season brought the girls and coaches together in a way that will surely set them up for great success next year. Track & Field - The varsity track and field team worked hard throughout the regular season in dual meets and invitationals to prepare for the tough post season they're about to face. With a number of cancellations due to weather, the team won the only dual meet that they competed in and had a second place finish in their last invitational of the season. Additionally, Kate Aris '18 broke the school record for discus throw with a distance of 96'-3". MIDDLE SCHOOL
Spring sports are wrapping up their seasons this week with their final games and team parties. The teams have all made significant improvements in their skills and execution in game and competition. The track team ran in the conference championship meet last Saturday bringing home 1st place in the 800, 3rd place in the 4x100 relay, and several PRs!
