APPLICATION PROCESS

"You should make this go up to 12th grade because it goes by too quickly  and everyone LOVES it!"
Aspire Student from East Cleveland, Class of 2008
Students may apply to the Aspire Program only as fifth graders. Responsible students who have a strong academic record (no D’s or F’s) and who enjoy new challenges are encouraged to apply. The program is highly competitive; thirty-six girls are selected for the program each year.

It is especially designed, however, for middle school girls who may be limited in opportunity because of low family income or lack of exposure to higher education.

The Aspire application process consists of 4 parts:

A written application (available from partner schools),
Fourth and fifth grade report cards and test scores,
Letters of recommendation from teachers and community members, and
An interview at with the Aspire Admissions Committee.
As parents/guardians play a crucial role in supporting the girls, they too play a role in the interview and application process.

For a student application, please contact your school principal or contact our office (216) 320-8776 in January. Please note that some districts and schools systems may not be eligible. Transportation to and from the program is available from our partner schools only.
